If you would really like to know who Satan is you may be surprised after you see the efforts that he has put forth to deceive and destroy the human race. The chapter below describes in detail his actions in heaven and how this great spiritual warfare between good and evil began.
Demon Spirits seek avenues to enter into people’s lives and sometimes they make agreements with humans by which they offer things that appeal to a part of the nature of man. But what does the trade involve? It involves the bartering away of the eternal inheritance of mankind. Man was originally made to live for eternity, this eternal life was once possessed also by fallen angels and after their fall they have fought to ensure that man would also suffer their fate.
Angels who left their original purpose and position as ministers have now become demons; they work that others may suffer what they too are tormented with. This is why they hate the creative power of Christ which by his blood (The blood of the Lamb) is more than powerful enough to free anyone from the grips of Satan.
Rev. 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Satan seeks to destroy faith in the merits of Christ; His blood and sacrifice. He has used false gospel ministers who have supposed deliverance ministries where they spend hours attempting to cast out demons from people even Christians. This activity which appears to make Jesus weak because the demon isn’t immediately cast out shakes the confidence in the Creator’s power. These deliverance ministries do not establish faith in Christ but weaken faith in God.
We have the promise: 1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin, all demonic power, all defilement, all! When we come into the light demons will flee the presence of God.
Here is the cry of demons when Christ came into their presence: Mat 8:28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
Satan is a professional fisherman he fishes all night for a living destroying souls but Christ taught His disciples to become fishers of men. There is coming a catch a great harvest of the earth for eternity. You can chose to fall into the gospel net and receive life everlasting if you will be honest with your ego. But if we hold fast to our selfishness and deny that there is a way that seems good to man but it really doesn’t help people. The world is full of man’s ways: men seeking wealth, popularity, striving to rise higher than another, stepping on one another as they advance to the prize, competing and jocking with one another for success, whatever feeds the ego. Away with these and seek something satisfying to the soul and seek durable riches, that which fadeth not away. Yes, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Pro_16:25 “. While you can seek life!
